Description
The reputation of this appellation is well established. In white as in red, the wines are greedy and complex. Mercurey is a magnificent gateway to Burgundy. Here again, these are appellations that it is smart to have in your cellar.
Grape variety: Pinot Noir.
Site: Our vineyard is located just above the hillside of Mercurey.
History and tradition: Mercurey has 640 hectares of AOP village and 1er Cru. Producing very great Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, Mercurey is a flagship appellation of the Cote Chalonnaise.
Soil: The soils of Mercurey are marl-clay-limestone. With our location at the top of the hills, we have a soil rich in silt and pebbles and with a lower proportion of clay.
Nevertheless, we remind you that: Alcohol abuse is dangerous for your health. Consume with moderation.

Tasting
Aging potential: 5-7 years
Serving temperature: 16-18°
Food & wine pairings: aged cheese, grilled or confit meat
Tasting Notes:
"Aromatic depth that increases as it opens, but this time with a slight floral scent. It's quite good, the aromas come on their own on the tongue, beautifully structured with a fine definition, as often in Mercurey. This wine surpasses many Mercurey 1er crus. Bravo!" Bill Nanson - Burgundy Report
"Sweet red fruits. Really juicy with light notes of almond paste. Nice roundness and nice freshness on the finish. Really good" Sarah Marsch
