Saint-Aubin - Travers de chez Édouard
The plot is located on the top of the Saint-Aubin hillside. It is well exposed, the ground is very stony. One could imagine a wine rather on the freshness but it is not so. This Saint-Aubin is intense, complex, with very toasty notes whereas the percentage in new barrels is only 20%.
Grape: Chardonnay
Producing commune: Saint-Aubin
History and tradition: After Meursault, Chassagne-Montrachet and Puligny-Montrachet, Saint-Aubin is positioning itself as an outsider that is increasingly taken seriously by lovers of great Chardonnays.
Soil: Located on the top of the slopes of Saint-Aubin, the soil of this plot is quite stony. This south-east facing vine enjoys a very beautiful exposure.

"A fresh, cool and floral nose that offers complementary notes of pear, citrus with slightly woody undertones. Slightly complex flavors that evolve into a nice minerality and a complex finish." Allen Meadows - Burghound 2018
“A brighter, more toned nose. Fresher and more direct, not harsh either. Acidity bubbles up below the surface, bringing a lovely mouth-watering finishing flavor. the final very well." Bill Nanson - Burgundy Report 2019
