Bourgogne Blanc
The vineyard has been shaped over the centuries by the Dukes of Burgundy, by monks and by winegrowers. A bottle of Burgundy is a piece of French heritage. I chose to claim on the Bourgogne Blanc labels and not Bourgogne Côte d'Or or Bourgogne Chardonnay. My opinion is that these last two appellations impose unsustainable modes of conduct where the Bourgogne Blanc appellation makes it possible to work in a more virtuous way. With medium-wide plantations and different authorized grape varieties, for example.
Grape variety: Chardonnay
History and tradition: The estate's plots are located next to the most prestigious vineyards of the Côte de Beaune, in the villages of Saint-Aubin, Meursault and Pommard .
Soil: Clay-silty soil on marl. Marl is known as the source rock on which Chardonnay expresses itself best. The clay richness of the soil makes it possible to obtain rich and aromatic wines.
Nevertheless, we remind you that: Alcohol abuse is dangerous for your health. To consume with moderation.
Aging potential: 3-5 years
Serving temperature: 10-12°
Food & wine pairings:shellfish, grilled fish
Tasting notes:
"Rich, good density, with a tasty finish" Sarah Marsch
"Fresh, mineral, with light citrus flavours. Fresh and lively" Bill Nanson - Burgundy Report
